ABOUT ME

Hi, welcome to my website, you will find more information about me, my work, and my writing on here.  If you would like to get in touch do send me an email, I look forward to talking with you.

I have spent 15 years as a Speech and Language Therapist, working in a variety of settings, from NHS community clinics, hospitals, mainstream primary schools, and eventually established an independent practice.  I have followed areas of particular interest, including early parent-child interaction, nervous system regulation, and specialism in speech processing and speech sound disorders, particularly cleft lip and palate.  However, following the birth of my first child and life during the COVID-19 pandemic, I began to reflect and curiously question my previous experiences.  From here I began exploring other interests and alternatives to work, education and life for my family.  I discovered a strong pull towards the outdoors, back into walking hills, moorlands and mountains as I did before becoming a Mother.  This set in motion motivation to support other women, going on to qualify as a Hill and Moorland Leader, and setting up a monthly community walking group for Motherhood.  Now as a home educating Mother, I continue to bring together my reflections on my clinical practice, my passion for co-created learning, and connections to land and landscape that are always more than just a walk.
